聚酰亚胺(Polyimide,简写为PI)指主链上含有酰亚胺环(-CO-NR-CO-)的一类聚合物,是综合性能最佳的有机高分子材料之一。聚酰亚胺可分为均苯型PI,可溶性PI,聚酰胺-酰亚胺(PAI)和聚醚亚胺(PEI)四类。其‌耐高温性能、机械性能、聚酰亚胺具有良好的介电性能、无毒,微电子界产品的抢手应用材料。

主要应用在电子、电机、电池的薄膜,耐高温的涂料、结构材料、胶粘剂、光刻胶、湿敏材料、液晶显示等

Polyimide is a polymer of imide monomers (Polyimides, n.d.). Polyimides can be thermoset or thermoplastic resins. They have high thermal properties and can be used in fuel cells, displays, and other electrical devices. They are more expensive than epoxies and polyesters. They can be used with glass fiber to make a polyimide composite. They offer excellent mechanical properties and can be used for automotive plastics, films, laminating resins, insulation coatings, and high-temperature structural adhesives.
