Sr. Staff Scientist, Optics-North America

Experiences/Education - Required

PhD degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science with at least 10 years of industry experience, demonstrating a proven track record of innovation.

Programming skills (Python, Matlab, Comsol, Lumerical) or other lab automation techniques.

Hands-on experience in building and executing experiments in free space optics, integrated photonics, and optical fiber, electronics, opto-mechanical systems and programming.

Strong attention to detail

Strong analytical and statistical skills, ability to interpret complex data

Skills in project management, budget development, and team development

Proficiency in communication, both written and oral, to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly

Experiences/Education - Desired

Background in materials science or materials used in photonic and optical applications

Demonstrated track record of cross-functional collaboration and delivery of innovative technologies

Proven track record in people management

Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally, understanding functionality of all parts of the innovation pipeline and tailor work/ communications to suit various parts of the organization
